NATIONAL PRIMARY SCHOOL
​​​​​​​CUP & SHIELD

The National Primary School Cup (Cup) and Shield (Shield) are competitions primary and intermediate school boys (Cup) and girls (Shield). The Cup and Shield provide participants with the opportunity to play cricket amongst friends and test their skills against schools from within their region and also across the country.

NZCT JUNIOR SECONDARY
​​​​​​​SCHOOL BOYS

The NZCT Junior Secondary School Boys’ (NZCT Boys’) competition is a secondary school competition for year nine and ten boys.Participants compete as year nine during the first stage of the competition (term four – October to December) and then as year nine and ten during the second stage of the competition (term one of the following year – January to March).

SECONDARY SCHOOL BOYS
FIRST XI CUP

The Secondary School Boys’ First XI Cup (First XI Cup) is a secondary school competition for year nine to thirteen boys. The First XI Cup began in 1990 and is among the longest-running competitions in secondary school sport. The competition provides the opportunity for players to compete against some of the best school teams in the country with many first-class cricketers and BLACKCAPS having made their name in this tournament.

NZCT SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS

​The NZCT Secondary School Girls' (NZCT Girls’) competition is a secondary school competition for year nine to thirteen girls. The NZCT Girls’ competition provides the opportunity for every girls’ or co-ed secondary school in New Zealand to play in a limited overs knockout cricket competition.

NZCT NATIONAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The NZCT National Club Cricket Championships is a competition for each Major Associations current club champion. The competition is run by Auckland Cricket's Cornwall Cricket Club at the end of the season every year. The competition consists of one-day cricket played in a round robin format across the week, ending with a 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th and 5th v 6th playoff on Finals day.

HAWKE CUP

The Hawke Cup is the major competition for New Zealand Cricket's District Associations.The competition is split into four zones, within each zone a full round robin is played, with games being played over two days. Each zone’s winner gets a three-day Hawke Cup Challenge against the current holders. To win the Hawke Cup, challengers must beat the holders on their home ground.
